News: Church Events & Activities Cancelled

Dear Church Family I am writing to give you an update from the Wardens and PCC following the guidance given by the Prime Minister tonight. As you will have no doubt seen in the media, the Prime Minister has now asked everyone to avoid social settings. We have not yet received updated guidance from the Church of England and so, in the meantime, the PCC have taken the decision to cancel all weekday events and activities in the church. Whilst we expect that this will ultimately extend to Sunday services, we are waiting for further guidance before we make that final decision. We are, however, working closely with the local authority, neighbouring foodbanks and suppliers to consider how we can continue to offer food and support to those who need it. We will provide an update on this as soon as we can. The staff team is meeting tomorrow to pull together our Parish Continuity Plan, which will cover all of our areas of ministry and consider how they will be impacted. We will share as much information as we can with you as soon as our plans are developed. We care deeply about our congregation and we are working hard to consider all the ways that we can offer love, support and pastoral care to each other. Please would you pray for us as we navigate this difficult time? Please pray for wisdom and a strong sense of God's leading in all our decision making.
