We are so excited about reopening the church for in-person services from Easter Sunday, 4 April 2021.
The services will be held at 10am each Sunday in the church and also live-streamed on our Youtube channel at the same time.
How to book Due to current restrictions, all attendees will need to book their place in advance. Bookings will be open between 2pm on Sunday and 9am on Thursday in the week running up to the service.
There are two ways to book:
1) Visit the website and click 'church calendar' – click on the Sunday you are booking for and complete the booking form via Churchsuite. You will need to book places for everyone attending in your group, including anyone under 18.
2) If you do not have online access, then please phone the church office on 01932 782 800 and leave a message listing all the names of those who would like to attend.
Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and you will receive either an email or a phone call confirming your place by 12:30 on Thursday. Please only come if you have had your place confirmed - unfortunately, we won't be able to allow anyone who has not booked to attend.
Please also be mindful of the significant reduction in seats and limit your bookings to a maximum of two per month. If you have been shielding or are vulnerable due to underlying health conditions, then please do consider continuing to watch the services from home. Your health and wellbeing are a top priority for us; it sounds obvious, but please don't come if you are feeling unwell!
Parents of children in year 5 We know that for parents with children in year 5, who may be considering applying for a church school place, it is important that you are able to prove your church attendance. We have sent all our year 5 families, who are registered on ChurchSuite, an attendance registration form. You will need to bring it each time you attend church and have it signed by someone wearing a kids' team lanyard or one of the Welcome Team (if no-one from the kids' team is present). This will need to be submitted with your supplementary form so that it can be signed. Please do book your spaces early to ensure you get a place! Email kids@stsaviourssunbury.org.uk if you need more information about this.
What to expect at the service Doors will open at 09:45am, you will be registered and then shown to your allocated seat by the Welcome Team. If you have downloaded the NHS Track and Trace app then you can also 'check in' using the QR code.
Please ensure social distancing at all times, including when queueing outside the church. When you enter the church, please use the foot-activated hand sanitiser provided and wear a face covering at all times.
Unfortunately, we are not currently able to offer separate groups for kids or youth and everyone must remain in their seats throughout the service; although you may stand during worship. Sadly, the current guidance does not allow singing from the congregation.
Although we are not permitted to serve refreshments, and no food is allowed during the service, you may bring a flask or travel mug containing a drink to the service. The doors to the church are required to remain open during the service so please make sure you wrap up warm or bring a blanket if the weather is feeling chilly!
Please try to avoid using the toilets during the service. If you need to use the toilet then please use the wipes provided to sanitise touch points (handles/taps/flush) after use.
We will be using a one-way system in the church, with entry through the main doors and exit via the left-hand side door. The Welcome Team will direct you to the exit at the end of the service. Please do not gather with others on the church grounds.
That's it for now! Whilst some of these changes will take a bit of getting used to, the Welcome Team will be there to guide you through them; please know that we are doing everything we can to meet guidelines and keep everyone safe, whilst also finding a new way to hold services and be physically together in the church.
We believe that God is going to bless us in this new season as we persevere through the challenges we encounter.
